TFP Bureau, Raipur, Dec 18, 2023: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai graced the felicitation ceremony and general meeting organized by the Anusuchit Janjati Shasakiya Sevak Vikas Sangh at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital, Raipur. The Chief Minister, inaugurating the event with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, received a traditional welcome from the Sarv Adivasi Samaj, adorned with a Gajmala and turban, accompanied by a traditional tribal welcome song.

Addressing the audience, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji on his birth anniversary, emphasizing the message of “Mankhe Mankhe Ek Saman” imparted to society by the revered figure. Highlighting the significance of the tribal community, constituting nearly 32 percent of Chhattisgarh’s population, he acknowledged the collective expectation that a tribal leader would assume the Chief Ministerial role, a realization attributed to the effective leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Chief Minister Sai emphasized that India’s global recognition and honor are outcomes of the dedicated efforts of Prime Minister Modi. He praised Droupadi Murmu Ji, a distinguished woman from the tribal society, holding the highest position as the country’s President. Reflecting on the establishment of Chhattisgarh under former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, he reiterated the commitment to ensuring the development and economic progress of Scheduled Tribe people in the region.

Pointing to the establishment of the Tribal Welfare Department, Chief Minister Sai commended the government’s commitment to the welfare of the Scheduled Tribe community. He reaffirmed the responsibility to fulfill promises made under the “Modi Guarantee.”

Announcements benefiting various sections of society, such as the annual disbursement of Rs 12,000 under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and the purchase of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal to support farmers, were highlighted. Chief Minister Sai concluded by underlining the government’s commitment to providing permanent houses to 18 lakh underprivileged families, a decision taken in the inaugural cabinet meeting held on December 14.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, MLAs Shri Kedar Kashyap, Shri Kawasi Lakhma, along with other tribal community leaders, were present at the event, emphasizing the government’s dedication to the welfare of Scheduled Tribes.
