TFP Bureau, Raipur; Dec 18, 2023: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, unable to attend in person, addressed the Guru Parv Mela event on the 267th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji at Amartapu Dham, Motimapur, Mungeli, through a phone call. Despite his absence, Mr. Sai conveyed his sincere apologies and announced a significant annual contribution of Rs. 10 lakh for the Mela. Highlighting the profound significance of the occasion, he shed light on the life and teachings of Sant Shiromani Baba Guru Ghasidas. Emphasizing values of righteousness and harmony, the Chief Minister encouraged following the path set by the revered spiritual leader.
The annual Guru Parv Mela in Amartapu Dham, Motimapur, has been held since 1996, celebrating Guru Ghasidas Jayanti. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma attended the event on behalf of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. Extending wishes for prosperity and peace under the blessings of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji, Mr. Sharma conveyed Chief Minister Sai’s message and announced a contribution of Rs. 10 lakh for the fair starting next year. Mungeli MLA Punnulal Mohle, event coordinators, and Padma Shri awardee Usha Barle were present in the program.
Mr. Punnual Mohle commenced his address with a Jaykara of Baba Guru Das, greeting representatives, committee officials, devotees, saints, and leaders present. He highlighted Sant Shiromani Guru Ghasidas Ji’s significant contributions, emphasizing his teachings of truth, non-violence, and social harmony during rigorous meditation in the Chhatta Hills.
