TFP Bureau, Raipur; Dec 19, 2023: Following the directives of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state police, and security forces have escalated their actions against Naxalites. The ongoing Naxal eradication campaign involves demining and combing operations in remote areas of the Bastar region. In a significant move, a massive monument constructed by Naxalites in the heart of Salatong village, Sukma district, was demolished today in the presence of a substantial police contingent.
Superintendent of Police Mr. Kiran Chavan, overseeing the operation, deployed a considerable number of police personnel led by ASP Naxal Operation Mr. Prabhat Kumar to Salatong village. The team utilized a JCB to dismantle the Naxalite memorial situated in the center of the village. This proactive step is part of a broader search operation initiated across the entire district as authorities intensify efforts against Naxal activities.
