TFP Bureau, Raipur, Dec 23, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai held a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence today, providing an overview of the initiatives undertaken by the state government to honor the commitments made during the Prime Minister’s Guarantee in the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai informed the Prime Minister that more than 18 lakh families in Chhattisgarh have received housing approval under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Additionally, the government is actively fulfilling its pledge to procure 21 quintals of paddy per acre from farmers at Rs 3100.
Highlighting the upcoming disbursement, Chief Minister Sai revealed that the pending bonus for two years, totaling Rs 3716 crore 38 lakh 96 thousand, is set to be released to farmers on December 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, celebrated as National Good Governance Day.
Emphasizing the swift action taken by the state government within 10 days of his oath, Chief Minister Sai stated that the implementation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Guarantee has already commenced, particularly focusing on settling dues for two years to farmers.
Accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, Chief Minister Sai expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the additional instalment of Rs 2485.79 crore released to Chhattisgarh. He also acknowledged the permission granted to procure 15 lakh metric tons of parboiled rice for the Central Pool. The Chief Minister affirmed that these funds from the Central Government would significantly bolster the state’s financial support for various social welfare and infrastructure development initiatives.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai delved into the details of several public welfare schemes, seeking guidance from Prime Minister Modi. He highlighted the provisions made in the supplementary budget for schemes such as Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, and the Social Security Pension, underscoring the government’s commitment to the comprehensive development, progress, and well-being of Chhattisgarh.
