TFP Bureau, Raipur, Dec 26, 2023: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai participated in a special program at Mata Sundari Public School in Raipur to commemorate Veer Bal Diwas. The event, organized to remember the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh and the martyrdom of his sons, witnessed the Chief Minister inaugurating an exhibition dedicated to the memory of Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh.
The Chief Minister paid floral tributes and lit a lamp in front of the portraits of the Sahibzadas, emphasizing their significant role in Sikh history. Addressing the gathering, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed gratitude for the glorious history of the Sikh community, citing the fearless sacrifices made by the young Sahibzadas. He acknowledged the role of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in presenting India’s rich history to the world.
Speaking about the significance of Veer Bal Diwas, Shri Sai highlighted the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas at the ages of six and nine, symbolizing resilience and sacrifice against Mughal pressure and torture. He praised Mata Sundari Public School, named after the mother of the Sahibzadas, and extended best wishes for its continued progress.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to fulfilling promises made under ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ and shared recent initiatives, including the approval of houses for 18 lakh eligible families and the disbursement of over Rs 3700 crore to more than 12 lakh farmers on Good Governance Day.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for declaring Veer Bal Diwas a national event. He urged society to guide school children on drawing inspiration from the fearless sacrifice of the young Sahibzadas.
Cabinet Minister Shri Brijmohan Agrawal extended warm wishes on Veer Bal Diwas and thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for recognizing its national importance. He highlighted Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s teachings of fearlessness and bravery, defining the Sikh community’s reputation for service, dedication, and sacrifice.
The Sikh community honored the Chief Minister during the event, presenting him with a kirpan, shawl, and Shriphal. School children contributed to the program by presenting Shabad Kirtan. The ceremony was attended by Cabinet Minister Shri OP Choudhary, MLAs, Sikh community representatives, and officials from the School Education Department.
