R.D.A. Witnesses High Demand for LIG Flats and Plots; Becomes Debt-Free with Successful Loan Repayment

The successful repayment underscores the financial stability and responsible fiscal management of R.D.A., marking a positive start to the new year

TFP Bureau, Raipur; Dec 30, 2023: The Raipur Development Authority (RDA) is experiencing a surge in demand for Low-Income Group (LIG) flats and residential-commercial plots under various schemes. The recently concluded tender process for properties in Kaushalya Mata Vihar, Indraprastha Phase-2, and Dr. Khubchand Baghel Transport Nagar received an overwhelming response, with 97 successful tenders and a total transaction of Rs 18.66 crore.

High Demand for LIG Flats

Out of the 177 tenders received, 97 were successful, contributing to the considerable popularity of LIG flats. In Indraprastha Phase-2, 36 tenders for LIG flats were successful, generating revenue of Rs 4.57 crore. Similarly, Kaushalya Mata Vihar saw 47 successful tenders out of 63, bringing in Rs 7.08 crore. Notably, a 3 BHK LIG flat in Sector-10 of Kaushalya Mata Vihar, with an offset rate of Rs 13.91 lakh, fetched Rs 19.07 lakh in the tender.

Regular Tenders for Future Sales

CEO Shri Dharmesh Kumar Sahu announced that R.D.A. will invite tenders on the second and fourth Friday of every month for the remaining residential and commercial plots and LIG flats under various schemes. Properties are sold through a competitive tender process, ensuring a fair market rate.

Sahu emphasized that no intermediaries, agents, or brokers have been appointed for property sales, and interested parties can obtain comprehensive information by contacting the marketing branch of Raipur Development Authority.

Debt-Free Milestone for R.D.A.

In a significant financial achievement, Raipur Development Authority has successfully cleared its debt by repaying the entire Rs 600 crore loan taken from Central Bank of India. The last installment, totaling Rs 45 thousand 147 crore, was handed over to the bank on December 29, 2023, marking the official completion of the loan repayment.

Housing and Environment Secretary Mr. Mahadev Kanvre, along with RDA Chief Executive Officer Shri Dharmesh Kumar Sahu, presented the check to Chief Manager Recovery of Central Bank of India branch Sadar Bazar Raipur, Mr. Rajeev Singh, and Senior Manager Mr. Vimal Nair. This achievement highlights R.D.A.’s commitment to financial prudence and its debt-free status.

Raipur Development Authority has paid off the outstanding loan amount of Rs 334 crore in the last one and a half years, achieving the milestone of being free from any debt. The successful repayment underscores the financial stability and responsible fiscal management of R.D.A., marking a positive start to the new year.
