TFP Bureau, Raipur, Dec 30, 2023: In a gesture of devotion and goodwill, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai actively participated in the fragrant rice offering ceremony organized by the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Rice Millers Association at Shri Ram Temple on VIP Road in Raipur. The Chief Minister ceremoniously flagged off 11 trucks loaded with 300 metric tons of fragrant rice from the Shri Ram Mandir complex, symbolizing a sacred offering to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. This gesture marks a significant connection between Chhattisgarh, the maternal birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, and Ayodhya, the revered birthplace.
Fragrant Rice Offering Ceremony
The fragrant rice offering ceremony was a solemn occasion, with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and cabinet members gathering at the Shri Ram Temple. Prayers were offered to Lord Shri Ram, Mata Janaki, and Lord Lakshman, accompanied by wishes for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh.
Symbolic Gesture of Devotion
Joining the Chief Minister in this symbolic act of devotion were notable figures including MP Mr. Sunil Soni, Minister Mr. Brijmohan Aggarwal, Minister Mr. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Minister Mr. Dayal Das Baghel, Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, and officials and members of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Rice Millers Association. The fragrant rice, carefully chosen and sent from the heartland of Chhattisgarh, aims to enrich the prasad (offering) of Ayodhya, embodying a cultural and spiritual connection between the two sacred places.
