Chhattisgarh Government Announces Key Administrative Appointments and Promotions

The reshuffling aims to streamline administrative processes and promote officers based on their dedication and service record

TFP Bureau, Nava Raipur, Dece 31, 2023: The General Administration Department of the Chhattisgarh Government issued a series of orders today, appointing and promoting senior officers in the state’s administrative framework. The moves come as part of the government’s commitment to ensuring efficient governance and recognizing years of dedicated service.

Order 1:

Senior Officer Elevated to Apex Scale Pay Matrix Level-17

In a significant development, the State Government appointed Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua, I.A.S. (1994), currently serving as Principal Secretary of the Forest Department and holding additional charge as Principal Secretary of the Home and Jail Department, Chief Residential Commissioner at Chhattisgarh Bhawan, New Delhi, and Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education. Shri Pingua, in recognition of his 30 years of service, has been promoted and posted in the Apex Scale Pay Matrix Level-17, effective from January 1, 2024.

Order 2:

Proforma Promotions for Officers on Central Deputation

As part of the reshuffling, officers currently on central deputation in the Government of India have been granted proforma promotions to Chief Secretary Pay Matrix Level-17. The officers include Smt. Richa Sharma, I.A.S (1994), Smt. Nidhi Chhibber, I.A.S. (1994), and Shri Vikas Sheel, I.A.S. (1994). This move is in alignment with the government’s commitment to ensure smooth administrative processes.

Order 3:

Promotion and Posting of 2008 Batch I.A.S. Officers

The state government, recognizing 16 years of dedicated service, announced the promotion of officers from the 2008 batch of the Indian Administrative Service. The officers, listed below, are promoted to Matrix Level-14, with the condition of attending Mid Career Training (Phase-IV). Temporary postings have been assigned until further orders:

Additional Noteworthy Points:

1. Shri Neeraj Kumar Bansod, I.A.S. (2008), currently on central deputation, has been succeeded by Mrs. Shikha Rajput Tiwari, I.A.S. (2008), with proforma promotion in the Supertime Pay Matrix Level-14.

2. Shri Satyanarayan Rathore, I.A.S. (2008), sees a significant elevation under Rule 12, with non-categorical posts of Registrar, Firms, and Institutions converted into cadre posts in the tenure pay scale of the Indian Administrative Service.

3. The government sent a proposal for the determination of 08 vacancies to the Government of India, ensuring compliance with the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Rules, 2016.
