TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 5, 2024: In a comprehensive six-hour marathon meeting at Mahanadi Bhawan Mantralaya, School Education, Higher Education, Tourism, Culture, and Endowments Minister Shri Brijmohan Aggarwal announced significant decisions to enhance the state’s educational system and boost tourism. Key decisions include the grand celebration of the Rajim Kumbh Mela, inclusion of Sirpur in the World Heritage Site, and the establishment of mall roads in Chhattisgarh’s hill stations, mirroring popular destinations like Shimla and Manali.
Rajim Kumbh Mela and Heritage Site Inclusion – Minister Aggarwal underscored the importance of organizing the Rajim Kumbh Mela in a grand manner and including Sirpur in the World Heritage Site. He emphasized the need to promote fairs and festivals in the state as part of a broader tourism initiative.
Development of Hill Stations and Mall Roads – The minister directed officials to develop mall roads in hill station cities like Mainpat, Chaiturgarh, Ramgarh, and others to attract both local and international tourists. These initiatives aim to showcase Chhattisgarh’s picturesque landscapes with modern amenities.
Free Bicycles for Class 9 Students- Shri Aggarwal announced the distribution of high-quality bicycles to all boys and girls in class 9, coupled with plans for free distribution of textbooks up to class 12.
Combatting Corruption in Recruitment Processes – Stressing transparency, Minister Aggarwal issued strict instructions against corruption in the recruitment and appointment processes within the School Education Department. He affirmed that any corruption found would lead to stringent action against those responsible.
Free Coaching for Competitive Exams– The minister revealed plans to provide free coaching for various competitive exams, including CA, CS, Banking, and Railways. This initiative aims to support students aspiring for competitive examinations.
Quality Education and Employment Opportunities – Shri Aggarwal emphasized the government’s commitment to offering better education in Chhattisgarh. He expressed the need to create a transparent system for recruitment and ensure permanent improvements for a brighter future for students.
Incentives for Meritorious Students– Under the Chief Minister Knowledge Promotion Scheme, meritorious students from Scheduled Castes and Tribes will receive an incentive amount of Rs 25,000, increased from Rs 15,000, for excellence in regular class 10th and 12th board examinations.
Merit-Based Teacher Postings – Minister Aggarwal instructed officials to post teachers based on merit in nearby districts, ensuring efficient discharge of government responsibilities.
Enhanced English Medium Sections– The minister called for the preparation of an action plan to open English medium sections in 100 pre-established colleges across the state, aiming to provide more opportunities for students.
