TFP Bureau, Raipur; January 9, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai marked the General Conference of All India Binjhiya Samaj in Surajpur by presenting a remarkable gift to the people – the inauguration of 30 diverse development projects valued at INR 27.72 crores. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh graced the occasion with his presence.
Among the unveiled projects, notable works under the Public Works Department included a newly constructed bridge on the Baaki river between village Sarhari to village Singhra of Pratappur development block (costing INR 4.81 crores), a bridge on Lohardaga drain in Ramanujnagar development block (valued at INR 4.54 crores), and a bridge on Gobri Nala on Kaskela Kevatali road of Bhaiyathan development block (constructed at a cost of INR 4.61 crores).
The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana witnessed several renovations, including the Patna Bargaiyapara to Mohanpur Patelpara road of Ramanujnagar development block (costing INR 70.15 lakhs), the Namanakala Gautiyapara to Takarpara road of Premnagar development block (valued at INR 78.39 lakhs), and the Bilaspur Dhanwar Road to Janardhpur Khaspara road (renovation work amounting to INR 36.84 lakhs).
Furthermore, under the Public Health Engineering Department, the Chief Minister inaugurated water supply schemes in various regions, including Jamdei, Ratanpur, Kuruwan, Salka, Harratikra, Jayanagar, and Kunjnagar, amounting to a total cost of INR 8.29 crores.
In a commitment to rural development, projects under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department were inaugurated. This included culvert construction near Pan Nala in Kandarai, construction of a stop dam in Mahadev Tikra of village Kartma, and embankment construction on the banks of Sattidad river in Koriya, totaling a cost of INR 53.54 lakhs.
The array of projects covers a broad spectrum, from infrastructural developments to water supply schemes, highlighting the commitment to holistic development in the Surajpur district. The Chief Minister expressed optimism about the positive impact these initiatives would have on the local communities.
