TFP Bureau, Raipur; January 10, 2024: In a pivotal Cabinet Meeting convened at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan today, several crucial decisions were deliberated and finalized.

1. Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme Launch: The Cabinet, in sync with the vision of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has greenlit the initiation of the Shri Ramlala Darshan (Ayodhya Dham) Scheme in Chhattisgarh. Aligned with the upcoming ‘Praan Pratishtha’ ceremony of Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya on January 22, this scheme aims to fulfill the pilgrimage aspirations of Chhattisgarh residents. Administered by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, the scheme’s budget will be allocated by the Tourism Department. Approximately 20 thousand beneficiaries will annually embark on a pilgrimage to Ayodhya to witness Shri Ramlala. Eligibility criteria include Chhattisgarh residents aged 18 to 75, subject to health assessments by the District Medical Board. Disabled individuals can also participate, accompanied by a family member. The initial phase focuses on those above 55 years. District Collector-led Shri Ramlala Darshan Committees will oversee beneficiary selection, with the trip covering around 900 kilometers. An MoU between Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will facilitate travel logistics, ensuring security, health, food, and local transport. District Collectors will arrange transportation from homes to railway stations and back. The journey will be supervised by government officials, and participants will experience a one-day stay in Varanasi, visiting Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor and witnessing Ganga Aarti. IRCTC will initially organize one weekly train, with the potential for increased frequency.

2. Advocate General Appointment: The Cabinet has resolved to appoint Shri Prafulla Bharat as the Advocate General of Chhattisgarh, a crucial legal role within the state.

These decisions reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing citizen experiences and legal representation.
