TFP Bureau, Raipur 13 January 2024: The extended executive meeting of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee concluded successfully in the presence of in-charge Sachin Pilot, State Congress President Deepak Baij, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant, In-charge Secretary Saptagiri Shankar Ulka, Joint Secretary, and co-in-charge Vijay Jangid.
AICC General Secretary and Chhattisgarh in-charge Sachin Pilot addressed the gathering, acknowledging the surprising election results in Chhattisgarh and emphasizing the need to focus on the future. He encouraged unity among opposition parties, highlighting the India Alliance, a coalition of multiple parties. Pilot stressed the significance of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, particularly the 11 crucial seats in Chhattisgarh. He urged party members to work together, emphasizing the strength of the Congress family.
Pilot emphasized the need to strengthen Congress in Chhattisgarh, rallying support for Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra starting on January 14. He urged workers to connect with the public, particularly in rural areas, and highlighted the importance of communicating the failures of the Central Government during the Lok Sabha elections. Pilot also critiqued the current government’s focus on advertising and misinformation.
State Congress President Deepak Baij reflected on the achievements of the Congress government in the last five years, particularly its work for all sections of society. He expressed determination to strengthen Congress further, outlining preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Baij underscored the significance of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and the need to boost workers’ morale.
The meeting addressed financial strengthening through the AICC’s “Donate for the Country” initiative, encouraging members to connect with people and contribute financially. District, block, and booth-level officials were urged to engage 10 people each in the initiative. Pilot’s warm welcome by party workers generated enthusiasm, emphasizing the collective effort towards success.
Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant extended thanks to party leaders and appreciated the appointment of Sachin Pilot as Chhattisgarh’s in-charge. He acknowledged the contributions of Kumari Selja, the previous in-charge, and expressed faith in Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi.
The meeting, attended by various Congress leaders, including MPs, former ministers, MLAs, and party officials, marked a significant step towards gearing up for the upcoming political challenges. The focus on unity, financial strengthening, and effective communication highlighted the strategic approach of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee.
