TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 14, 2024: The President of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee, Deepak Baij, set out for Imphal, the capital of Manipur on Saturday. He will be an integral part of the second phase of Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, spearheaded by the former National President of the Congress Party, Rahul Gandhi. This nationwide journey is scheduled to commence from Imphal tomorrow and will culminate in the capital of Maharashtra, Mumbai, in March.
Covering a substantial route through 100 Lok Sabha constituencies, 337 assembly constituencies, and 110 districts, the Yatra will span an impressive distance of 6713 km. The central theme of the Nyaya Yatra is encapsulated in its slogan – “Till one gets the right to justice.”
Expressing his perspective, State President Deepak Baij emphasized that the Nyaya Yatra’s initiation in Manipur holds significance due to the prolonged unrest and violence in the region. He drew attention to the challenges faced by the people, condemning the lack of attention from the country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Baij highlighted issues such as unemployment among the youth, agricultural distress, inflation affecting women, and the neglect of the rights of Dalits and tribals.
In contrast, Baij asserted that the Modi government appears to prioritize the interests of a select few industrialists. He stressed the importance of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, in fortifying the unity and integrity of the country, countering what he perceives as attempts by the BJP to undermine these values. Baij expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent Chhattisgarh in this significant national journey.
