Incentive Allocated to Registered Manas Mandals for Devotional Programs

The allocated funds will facilitate honorarium payments of Rs 5000 to each Manas mandal involved in organizing these programs

TFP Bureau, Raipur; January 14, 2024:  The allocation of an incentive amount for organizing devotional cultural programs has been released to registered Ramayan Manas Mandals through the Chinhari portal. An amount of Rs 3 crore 10 lakh 40 thousand has been disbursed for 6,208 mandals registered in the Chinhari portal across the state, with each Manas mandal receiving an honorarium of Rs 5,000.

In line with Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai’s directives for the upcoming “Shri Ramlala Pran Pratishtha-Ramotsav” on January 22, 2024, a significant devotional cultural program will be orchestrated statewide through registered Manas Mandals at both district and development block levels. To facilitate this, funds have been allocated, with an emphasis on encouraging participation from cultural groups and societies.

The allocation includes Rs 12 lakh 85 thousand for 257 groups in Raipur district, Rs 12 lakh 40 thousand for 248 groups in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Rs 19 lakh 50 thousand for 390 groups in Gariaband, and Rs 7 lakh for 140 groups in Mahasamund. Further, districts like Dhamtari, Durg, Balod, Bemetara, and Rajnandgaon have received allocations ranging from Rs 11 lakh 80 thousand to Rs 18 lakh 95 thousand for their respective registered groups.

Additionally, an amount of Rs 5 lakh 80 thousand has been allocated for 116 troupes in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, while districts like Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki and Kabirdham have received Rs 3 lakh 65 thousand and Rs 5 lakh 45 thousand, respectively. The funds aim to support devotional cultural programs in various districts, emphasizing the cultural richness and diversity prevalent in Chhattisgarh.

In a parallel effort, the state government has released an allocation of Rs 1 crore 14 lakh 25 thousand for organizing devotional cultural programs at the district and block levels. This initiative is part of the broader plan to celebrate the “Shri Ramlala Pran Pratishtha-Ramotsav” with grandeur and cultural fervor across Chhattisgarh. The funds will be made available to registered Manas Mandals through the respective District Collectors, fostering community involvement in the celebrations.
