TFP Bureau, Hyderabad, January 24, 2024: National Miner NMDC has been honored with the prestigious SCOPE Eminence Award for its outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Responsiveness. The award was presented by the Honourable Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, recognizing NMDC’s transformative CSR initiatives that have significantly impacted the regions where its major projects are situated. Shri M. Jayapal Reddy, Executive Director (Resource Planning & Environment) received the award on behalf of NMDC.
NMDC’s CSR initiatives are focused on empowering local communities around its mines, with a strategic emphasis on five core areas: ensuring robust healthcare, developing community infrastructure, providing quality education for all, investing in skill development, and ensuring access to safe drinking water.
Expressing his thoughts on the recognition, Shri Amitava Mukherjee, CMD (Addl. Charge), stated, “NMDC is dedicated to shaping a brighter future for our host communities in remote regions. As a responsible corporate leader, we aspire to empower the dreams of our tribal community and foster sustainable economic growth in rural India through CSR initiatives like Skill Development for sustainable income generation.”
