Indira Gandhi Agricultural University to Host National Voters’ Day Program

The ceremony aims to honor those who have played a pivotal role in the democratic process

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 24, 2024:  Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in Raipur is set to host a National Voters’ Day program on January 25 at 11 am in the Vivekananda Auditorium. Organized under the auspices of the Election Commission of India, the state-level function aims to recognize the outstanding contributions of officers and employees in election work and commend districts that have undertaken special initiatives to motivate voters.

The Chief Guest for the event will be Justice Shri TP Sharma, Pramukh Lokayukta, Chhattisgarh Lok Aayog, while Dr. Girish Chandel, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur, will preside over the ceremony.

The state-level program will include the felicitation of notable individuals such as IAS Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Shri Sanjay Agrawal, Shri Rituraj Raghuvanshi, Shri Akash Chhikara, and Shri Jitender Yadav. The awards will extend to a special jury, the best sub-district election officer, the best election supervisor, and state-level incentives for creative preparations. Further accolades will be presented to the best returning officer, best assistant returning officer, best electoral registration officer, best assistant electoral registration officer, excellent assistant programmer, and outstanding data entry operator, recognizing their excellence in electoral work. The ceremony aims to honor those who have played a pivotal role in the democratic process.
