PM Modi Addresses the Nation in the 109th Episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’

PM Modi encouraged first-time voters to register online and emphasized the transformative power of each vote

TFP Bureau, New Delhi; January 28, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in the 109th episode of his radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat.’ Commencing the first ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of 2024, the Prime Minister expressed the renewed enthusiasm and spirit in Amritkaal, the dawn of a new era.

Reflecting on the grand celebration of the 75th Republic Day, PM Modi highlighted the significance of this year, marking the completion of 75 years of the Constitution and the Supreme Court. He emphasized that these democratic festivals strengthen India as the Mother of Democracy.

The Prime Minister recalled the role of Prabhu Ram as an inspiration for the makers of the Constitution, connecting it to his recent mention of ‘Dev se Desh’ and ‘Ram se Rashtra’ during his visit to Ayodhya on January 22.

PM Modi shared the success of the Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya, fostering unity among millions of people. He noted the power of collective action, citing the success of the cleanliness campaign from Makar Sankranti to January 22, where people devotedly cleaned religious places.

Highlighting the Republic Day parade, PM Modi praised the remarkable presence of Women Power, with 11 out of 20 contingents being led by women. He celebrated the diversity of cultural performances and the showcasing of woman power in various fields, including the protection of the country by DRDO’s tableau.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the Arjuna Award ceremony, where 13 women athletes were honored, showcasing their achievements and determination. He praised the contribution of women in self-help groups, citing examples of innovative practices in bio-fertilizer and pesticide preparation.

PM Modi extended his wishes to the Padma Award recipients, emphasizing the recognition of those working selflessly at the grassroots level. He commended the People’s Padma, reflecting increased public participation in nominations.

Discussing organ donation, the Prime Minister applauded the more than a thousand people who have donated their organs, saving multiple lives. He recognized organizations promoting awareness and registration for organ donation.

Sharing a significant development in the AYUSH system, PM Modi announced the codification of terminology related to Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani medicine with the help of the World Health Organization. This step aims to standardize language and facilitate understanding among practitioners.

PM Modi highlighted individuals like Yanung Jamoh Lego and Hemchand Manjhi, who are preserving Ayurveda and herbal medicine traditions. He acknowledged their role in enriching the cultural heritage of the country.

Reflecting on a decade of ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ the Prime Minister praised the medium of radio for connecting the entire country. He shared an example from Chhattisgarh, where a radio program, ‘Hamar Hathi – Hamar Goth,’ helps people living near forests avoid elephant paths, contributing to human-elephant coexistence.

National Voters Day, celebrated on January 25, drew attention to India’s increasing voter turnout, highlighting the significant role of the Election Commission. PM Modi encouraged first-time voters to register online and emphasized the transformative power of each vote.

Paying tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai and Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa on their birth anniversaries, PM Modi acknowledged their contributions to the freedom struggle and military leadership, respectively.

The Prime Minister praised the organization of sports tournaments in India, such as the Khelo India Youth Games and the innovative Beach Games in Diu. He celebrated the achievements of Indian players and the growth of sports platforms in the country.

PM Modi concluded by inviting students and youth to participate in the upcoming ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ on January 29, the 7th edition of the interactive session aimed at alleviating exam-related stress. He expressed joy at the increasing participation and evolution of the program over the past seven years.
