TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 28, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai of Chhattisgarh celebrated a significant leap in the state’s development as the Bilaspur Railway Flyover, connecting Uslapur and Bilaspur, was inaugurated. The completion of this crucial infrastructure project promises to streamline train operations and enhance connectivity on the Mumbai-Howrah route, particularly for trains heading towards Katni.
Expressing his gratitude, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai credited Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav for their roles in the successful completion of the rail flyover. This development is poised to bring about a transformative change in the railway network of Chhattisgarh.
The Railway Minister, Shri Ashwini Vaishnav, shared a video on his social media handle to announce the completion of the Uslapur-Bilaspur rail flyover. In his post, he highlighted the significance of this infrastructure addition, stating that it would enhance the overall capacity of the railway network in Chhattisgarh. The video underlines the positive impact it will have on train operations in the state.
The newly inaugurated flyover addresses the longstanding issue of train crossings in the Bilaspur yard, ensuring seamless movement of trains. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized that this achievement would substantially improve the operational efficiency of trains, especially those heading towards Katni. Currently, trains in this direction must navigate the Bilaspur yard, leading to delays.
With the commencement of operations on the flyover, trains bound for Katni from Bilaspur will now have a direct route via Uslapur, eliminating the need to traverse the Bilaspur yard. Additionally, trains moving between Bilaspur and Raipur will experience enhanced operational fluidity, reducing delays. The development also promises improved passenger amenities at Uslapur station, contributing to a more conducive environment for business activities in the region.
