Chief Minister Urges Business Community to Prioritize Local Employment

He assured that the state government would work dedicatedly to support business growth, aligning with India’s aspiration to become the world’s third-largest economy

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 28, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized the need for continuous progress and development in business and industries in Chhattisgarh, urging entrepreneurs to prioritize local residents in employment opportunities generated by their ventures. Speaking at the 64th annual conference of the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Raipur, the Chief Minister expressed his desire for the prosperity and growth of businesses across the state.

Addressing the gathering at the Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College auditorium, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai acknowledged the significant contribution of the approximately 12 lakh businessmen in the state to its economic well-being. He stressed that Chhattisgarh, known as the rice bowl, boasts fertile land and hardworking farmers, resulting in abundant paddy production. Additionally, the state possesses substantial mineral wealth, including iron, coal, tin, and bauxite, making it conducive for industrial development.

Chief Minister Shri Sai commended the Central Government, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, for fostering a business-friendly environment in recent years, facilitating decisions to promote industrial development. He assured that the state government would work dedicatedly to support business growth, aligning with India’s aspiration to become the world’s third-largest economy.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao emphasized the multifaceted benefits of business, highlighting its role in providing employment opportunities and fostering self-reliance. He emphasized that a strong trade sector would contribute to India’s prosperity, making it the third-largest economy globally.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma emphasized the significance of the Ayodhya event in consecrating India’s life and reiterated the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to being business-friendly. He assured full cooperation for the development of industries in the state.

School Education Minister Shri Brijmohan Aggarwal commended the business-friendly rules implemented by the government of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, aiming to simplify business processes. He urged the Chamber to actively participate in service-oriented activities.

Chairman of the National Traders Welfare Board, Shri Sunil Singhi, shared insights into the initiatives and upcoming action plans of the Board, emphasizing its role in considering the interests of small and large businesses.

The program, attended by Food and Civil Supplies Minister Mr. Dayaldas Baghel and Raipur North MLA Mr. Purandar Mishra, featured a welcome address by Shri Amar Parwani, President of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
