TFP Bureau, Ambikapur, January 30, 2024: Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal expressed the commitment to elevate Ambikapur, the district headquarters, into a prominent medical hub. During his inspection of the medical college, he directed the swift installation of an MRI machine and conducted a comprehensive meeting with the Medical College Dean and other senior officials to address crucial arrangements.
In the review session, Shri Jaiswal disclosed the sanction of Rs 10.24 crore for the MRI facility at the Medical College. Furthermore, an additional budget of approximately Rs 110 crore is earmarked for professor appointments and the timely completion of other essential projects within the medical college. The Health Minister also visited the Maternal-Child Health Hospital located in the District Hospital premises, engaging directly with women and gathering feedback on the available facilities. He emphasized the importance of doctors exhibiting sensitivity in patient care.
The review meeting witnessed the participation of Ambikapur MLA Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, Collector Mr. Vilas Bhoskar, Medical College Dean Dr. Ramanesh Murthy, senior officials, and local public representatives.
