TFP Bureau, Raipur; January 2024: Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra” is poised to receive a historic welcome in Chhattisgarh. Sushil Anand Shukla, Chairman of the State Congress Communication Department, expressed the excitement among the people and Congress workers in Chhattisgarh to welcome Rahul Gandhi. The Congress party has completed preparations for this visit, forming 11 committees and assigning responsibilities to senior leaders for the districts through which the Yatra will pass. Covering 536 kilometers across 7 districts in the state, Rahul Gandhi will stay in Chhattisgarh for 5 days. In a time marked by hunger, inflation, unemployment, farmer distress, and communal tension, Rahul Gandhi’s “Nyaya Padyatra” is anticipated to provide solace to the people.
Since the initiation of Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,” the BJP has displayed apprehension. Sushil Anand Shukla highlighted the initial reluctance of the Manipur government to grant permission to start the Yatra in Imphal, and even when permission was granted, conditions were imposed. The BJP government in Assam employed low-level tactics to impede the Yatra. The Modi-led BJP government aims to stifle any voice raised against it, attempting to obstruct Rahul Gandhi’s visit. Regardless of the Modi government’s efforts, the voice of the Indian people will neither be suppressed nor silenced.
Sushil Anand Shukla, Chairman of the State Congress Communication Department, emphasized Congress’s commitment to safeguarding the unity, integrity, constitution, and democracy of the country. The Congress Party views Satyagraha as a potent weapon in the fight for public rights, evident even before independence. “Bharat Jodo Nyay Padayatra” is anticipated to be the most significant and transformative Satyagraha in the country post-independence. Drawing inspiration from leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, this Satyagraha aims to uproot ideologies that idealize the murderer of the Father of the Nation. In the current scenario, where the nation faces challenges leading to destruction and hostility, the “Bharat Jodo Padayatra” is seen as a crucial initiative.
