TFP Raipur, February 1, 2024: In a significant announcement, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai declared a financial assistance package of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of the three soldiers who lost their lives in the Naxal encounter on January 30 in Tekalgudem, Sukma district. This aid is in addition to the support already granted by both the Central and State Governments.
The Chief Minister revealed this decision during a discussion with journalists at the Jhumka Water Festival held in Baikunthpur, Koriya district. The families of the martyred soldiers will receive the additional financial assistance to help cope with the tragic loss.
On January 30, three soldiers bravely faced a Naxal ambush in the village of Tekalgudem, Jagargunda police station area, Sukma district. The martyred soldiers include Constable Deven C. and Constable Pawan Kumar from the 201 Cobra CRPF battalion, along with Constable Lambadhar Singha from the 150th battalion. In this unfortunate incident, 16 soldiers sustained injuries, and Chief Minister Shri Sai personally visited the hospital on the evening of January 30 to meet and inquire about the well-being of the injured soldiers. Eight of the injured soldiers have been transferred to Raipur for advanced medical treatment.
