Chief Justice Emphasizes Technological Proficiency for Judges in Concluding Bangladesh Judicial Officers’ Training
TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 2, 2024: The Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy successfully concluded a 5-day training program for 50 judicial officers from Bangladesh. Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha addressed the officers on the last day, emphasizing the need for judges to be technically adept in addition to developing strong management skills. The program aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities of the judges featured expert lectures from various legal fields.
In his concise lecture on court management and technology utilization in the judiciary, Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha highlighted the judiciary’s primary role in delivering fair and speedy justice. He stressed the importance of providing judges with training to enhance their efficiency, emphasizing the need for both managerial excellence and technical proficiency. Chief Justice Shri Sinha also briefed the visiting judicial officers from Bangladesh about the functioning of the Chhattisgarh High Court and the live streaming process of court proceedings.
The training program, meticulously designed to strengthen the judges’ professional skills, featured lectures from Dr. Nirmal Shukla and Mrs. Fauzia Mirza, senior advocates of Chhattisgarh High Court. Judicial officers from Bangladesh were addressed by Advocate Mr. Amrito Das and Mrs. Naushina Ali. Various subjects were covered by speakers such as Shri Anindya Tiwari from the Faculty of Law, Hidayatullah Law University, and Shri Ayush Gondale from Kalinga University. Additionally, experts from different fields, including the Forest Department, shared insights during dedicated sessions.
The entire training program, conducted under the guidance of Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha, included accommodation arrangements for the visiting officers in the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy’s hostel. Justice Shri Sanjay K. Aggarwal, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy, actively oversaw the arrangements and provided guidance. He also conducted sessions explaining criminal appeal and civil appeal to the visiting officers.
Justice Shri Rakesh Mohan Pandey, another member of the Academy, delivered a lecture on the provision of bail, covering various provisions and judicial precedents related to bail. This training marked a historical milestone as the State Judicial Academy organized a program for judicial officers from outside the country for the first time.
The visiting officers expressed gratitude for the hospitality and arrangements made by Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy and Chhattisgarh High Court. Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha hosted a special dinner at the academy and organized a high-tea at Chhattisgarh High Court, providing opportunities for dignified interactions among the justices. The officers also visited the High Court and District Court Bilaspur, gaining insights into the judicial work and exploring the historical place ‘Tala’ in Tehsil Bilha.
