TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 2, 2024: In a move to enhance local governance and address public issues effectively, the state government has assigned district responsibilities to members of the Council of Ministers to lead the District Planning Committee.
As per the order issued today by the Ministry of General Administration Department at Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Arun Sao has been entrusted with the responsibilities of overseeing Bilaspur, Korba, and Bemetara districts. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma will be overseeing Durg, Balod, Rajnandgaon, and the districts of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki.
Other assignments include Minister Shri Brijmohan Aggarwal taking charge of Bastar, North Bastar Kanker, Kondagaon, and Narayanpur, while Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam is designated for Raigarh, Korea, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur. Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel will be responsible for Mahasamund, Gariaband, and Surajpur districts.
Furthermore, Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap is assigned to Raipur, Sukma, Bijapur, and South Bastar Dantewada. Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan will oversee Mungeli, Kabirdham, and Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, and Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal is allocated Balodabazar-Bhatapara and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi.
Taking charge of Surguja, Janjgir-Champa, and Jashpur is Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary, while Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade is assigned Balrampur-Ramanujganj and Sakti. Lastly, Minister Shri Tankram Verma will be overseeing Dhamtari and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district.
This strategic allocation of district responsibilities aims to streamline governance, foster efficient decision-making, and address local issues promptly. The ministers are expected to play a pivotal role in fostering development and addressing the unique challenges faced by each district under their charge.
