TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 6, 2024: A delegation of officers from the National Defense College, part of the Under Standing India module, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at his Pahuna office residence. Comprising 16 officers, the team includes foreign officials from America, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, and Nepal. During the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai shared insights into Chhattisgarh’s geography, socio-cultural characteristics, and developmental endeavors.
As part of the six-week Under Standing India module, the study group of 120 officers is visiting eight different states. The Chhattisgarh leg of their journey involves studying various aspects of internal security, development works, and state activities. Chief Minister Shri Sai highlighted the state’s natural resources, emphasizing its tourism potential and commitment to showcasing Chhattisgarh on the global stage.
In discussions, Shri Sai addressed issues related to education, health, tourism, industry, women empowerment, and overall state development. He underlined the success in limiting the scope of Maoist terrorism through continuous security force actions and robust development initiatives in interior areas. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of Tribal Development Authorities and the dedicated Tribal Ministry, contributing significantly to the development of tribal-dominated regions.
Highlighting women’s empowerment, Chief Minister Shri Sai mentioned the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and applauded the work of women self-help groups. He showcased initiatives like Dantewada’s Javanga Education City and Ram Krishna Mission uplifting tribal youth. The officials expressed their appreciation for Chhattisgarh’s natural beauty and cultural richness, commending the state’s commitment to development.
Major General Shri Samantha Nagar, leading the study team, conveyed that Chhattisgarh exceeded their expectations in beauty. Foreign officials from the United States, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, and Nepal shared their admiration for the state’s natural charm, expressing curiosity and happiness about their insightful trip to Chhattisgarh.
The study team, which included representatives from different countries, appreciated the discussion with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and anticipates the experience gained in Chhattisgarh to be valuable in their respective fields.
