Over 8 Lakh Women Apply for Mahtari Vandan Scheme in Two Days

Enthusiasm High as 6 Lakh 26 Thousand 647 Applications Submitted Tuesday

TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 7, 2024: The momentum of applications for the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, aimed at promoting women empowerment by the Chhattisgarh government, surged for the second consecutive day. A staggering 8 lakh 13 thousand 944 applications have been received in just two days. Today, on the second day alone, over 6 lakh 26 thousand women submitted applications. Notably, Janjgir district leads with 61 thousand 994 applications, followed by Mahasamund with 60 thousand 187 and Durg with 56 thousand 826 applications.

Under the directive of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, district Collectors have orchestrated better arrangements across all districts to facilitate the seamless submission of applications under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and to provide necessary guidance to eligible women. To expedite the process, the administration has deployed personnel to elucidate eligibility criteria and verify essential documents.

A fervent atmosphere surrounds the state as women flock to organized camps in all districts to complete their applications. The scheme has ignited considerable enthusiasm among women, who anticipate meeting their minor needs with the monthly Rs 1,000 assistance from the Chhattisgarh government.
