TFP Bureau, Ambikapur; February 8, 2024: Infrastructure development plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life in rural communities, facilitating access to essential services such as education, healthcare, and markets. Recognizing this, Adani Foundation has undertaken numerous infrastructure projects in the Udaipur block of the district, aimed at uplifting local communities under the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of Rajasthan State Electricity.
More than 500 initiatives have been implemented to nurture the creative potential of children, repair government schools, hostels, and Anganwadi centers, beautify public spaces with wall and ball painting, and illuminate village roads to ensure safe movement of pedestrians and cyclists at night. Solar street lights and high mast lights have been installed in main square intersections, further enhancing safety and accessibility.
This year, Adani Foundation continued its commitment to village development by undertaking restoration work on dilapidated buildings, furthering its dedication to community well-being.
Renovation of Bus Stand Waiting Room:
The renovation of the long-neglected passenger waiting room at the Janardanpur Bus Stand stands as a testament to Adani Foundation’s efforts to enhance community amenities. Prompted by the request of the Sarpanch of Janardanpur in December 2023, the Foundation took swift action to refurbish the waiting room, benefiting over 500 local travelers monthly.
Waterproofing Work at Boys Hostel:
In a bid to address the challenges faced by tribal students residing at the boys hostel in Khaspara, Ghatbarra village, Adani Foundation initiated the waterproofing of the hostel roof in November 2023. The leaking roof had been a source of inconvenience during the rainy season, affecting the 20 students of classes 6th and 8th. This initiative underscores the Foundation’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for learning and ensuring the well-being of the students.
