With a resolute commitment to the welfare of the marginalized, youth, farmers, and women, the budget sets forth a comprehensive roadmap for inclusive growth and development in the state, aligning with the promises of “Modi’s Guarantee.”
Vision @2047: Charting a Path to Development
The budget lays the groundwork for Chhattisgarh’s transformation into a developed state by 2047 with the formulation of “Amritkal: Chhattisgarh Vision @2047” by November 1, 2024. This vision aims to double the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) to Rs 10 lakh crore by 2028, fostering inclusive development across all sectors.

Outlined within the budget are ten fundamental strategic pillars guiding Chhattisgarh’s trajectory towards progress:
1. GYAN (Gareeb, Yuva, Annadata & Naari): Focus to our economic development.
2. Rapid economic growth through technology-driven reforms and good governance.
3. Maximizing capital expenditure amidst challenges.

6. Encouraging private investment alongside government efforts.

Total Income: Rs 1,47,500 (22% growth from previous year)
Total Expenditure: Rs 1,47,446 (22% growth from previous year)
Revenue Expenditure: Rs 1,24,840 (22% growth from previous year)
Capital Expenditure: Rs 22,300 (20% growth from previous year)
Economic Outlook:
GSDP Growth: Estimated at 6.56% for FY 2023-24.
Sectoral Growth: Agriculture (3.23%), Industry (7.13%), Services (7.72%).
Per Capita Income: Estimated increase to Rs 1,47,361 per annum.
Modi’s Guarantee: Fulfilling Commitments
The budget earmarks funds for key initiatives under “Modi’s Guarantee”:
1. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana: Rs 8,369 crore for the construction of 18 lakh houses.
2. Mahtari Vandan Yojana: Assistance of Rs 12,000 per year to empower women.
3. Krishak Unnati Yojana: Allocation of Rs 10,000 crore to benefit farmers.
4. Jal Jeevan Mission: Provision of Rs 4,500 crore for rural water supply.
5. Tendu Leaf Collectors: Increase in prices to Rs 5,500 per bag.
