Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi District Set to Emerge as Tourism Hub: Culture Minister Shri Aggarwal

Inaugurates Arpa Mahotsav and Unveils Development Projects

TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 11, 2024: Emphasizing the government’s commitment to inclusive development, Culture Minister Shri Brijmohan Aggarwal announced plans to elevate Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district as a prominent tourism destination. Speaking at the inauguration of the grand Arpa Mahotsav organized by the district administration on the district’s fourth anniversary, Minister Aggarwal underscored the district’s tourism potential and pledged to prioritize its development.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Aggarwal extended congratulations and best wishes to the district’s residents on behalf of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, and the state populace. Promising to address the district’s pressing needs, he assured swift approval of the Pendra Bypass within a month. Additionally, he inaugurated and performed the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for 70 development projects totaling Rs 35.26 crore.

Minister Aggarwal also announced several development initiatives, including the establishment of a sports complex at Arpa Mahotsav, increasing bed capacity at the Marwahi Community Health Center to 50, and the development of Malaniya Dame as a tourist destination. Furthermore, he allocated Rs 25 lakh for the enhancement of the Adishakti Durga Temple and pledged to transform Rajmer Garh into a hill station.

The event, chaired by Health Minister and District Incharge Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, witnessed addresses by regional MLA Mr. Pranav Kumar Marpacchi, Kota MLA Mr. Atal Srivastava, and Mr. Prabal Pratap Singh Judev. Spectacular cultural performances, including Karma and Shaila dance, entertained attendees, while LED screens showcased government schemes and achievements.

The Arpa Mahotsav served as a platform to highlight various government initiatives, including the Krishak Unnati Yojana, Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, and Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Stalls set up by various departments offered information about their schemes and achievements, further fostering public engagement and awareness.
