Chhattisgarh Government Prioritizes Convenience for 77 Lakh Ration Card Holders

TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 15, 2024: The deadline for renewing all 77 lakh ration cards under the Public Distribution System in Chhattisgarh has been extended until February 25th. Minister of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department, Shri Dayaldas Baghel, instructed the Food Department to prioritize extending the deadline for online renewal applications to ensure the convenience of the people.

Director of the Food Department, Shri Jitendra Shukla, has issued guidelines to all district collectors regarding this extension. To streamline the renewal process, a new mobile app developed by the Food Department for ration card renewal is now available on the Google Play Store. Beneficiaries can also download it from the Food Department’s website at http://khadya.cg.nic.in. With this app, ration card holders can easily submit their renewal applications online using their mobile phones.

For those without Android devices or in areas with limited mobile connectivity, the option to renew ration cards online is available at fair price shops, ensuring accessibility for all eligible beneficiaries. This extension aims to facilitate a smooth renewal process and ensure that all eligible individuals continue to benefit from the essential support provided through the Public Distribution System.
