State Government Promotes Three DIGs to IG, Nine DIGs and Eight Officers Granted Selection Grade

This decision comes in light of their completion of 18 years of service from the allocation year, effective January 1, 2024.

TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 16, 2024: In a recent development, the State Government of Chhattisgarh has issued promotion orders within the Indian Police Service (IPS) hierarchy, elevating three Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) to the rank of Inspector General (IG) today. Additionally, the order includes promotions for nine other DIGs, while eight officers have been granted selection grade status. This decision comes in light of their completion of 18 years of service from the allocation year, effective January 1, 2024.

As per Order No./F 1-07/2023/Do-Home/IPS, dated February 16, 2024, the following IPS officers are entitled to receive the salary a pay scale equivalent to Level-14 (₹1,44,200-₹2,18,200) of the Pay Matrix, effective from January 2024, in accordance with Rule 3 of the Rules, 2016.

1. Shri Mayank Srivastava (Batch: 2006): Current Posting: Commissioner-cum-Director, Public Relations

2. Shri Rajendra Narayan Dash (Batch: 2006): Current Posting: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Special Intelligence Branch/Anti Naxal, Operation, Police Headquarters, Raipur

3. Shri B.S. Dhruva (Batch: 2006): Current Posting: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Chhattisgarh Suraksha Bal Police Headquarters, Raipur
