Chief Justice Virtually Lays Foundation Stone for Court Building and Residences

Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha Leads Ceremony via Video Conferencing

TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 19, 2024: Despite his demanding schedule, Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha of the Chhattisgarh High Court demonstrated commitment by participating virtually in the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a new court building and employee residences. The event, held on February 18 at 11:00 am, marked a significant milestone for the judicial infrastructure in Champa, Janjgir Champa District.

Through video conferencing, Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha inaugurated the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the Civil Court building in Champa, along with similar ceremonies for Civil Courts in Akaltara, Navagarh, Sakti, Malkhauda, Dabhra, and Jaijapur, as well as a new employee residential complex in Janjgir. The Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stone-laying rituals were conducted at the venue by Port-Folio Judge of the district, Mr. Partha Pratim Sahu.

 

Addressing the gathering, Shri Sinha emphasized the collaborative efforts between the State Government and the judiciary to enhance infrastructure for the courts. He stressed the importance of providing a conducive working environment for judicial officers and employees, ensuring their efficiency and dedication to the justice system. Shri Sinha instructed the concerned officers and engineers to prioritize quality and timely completion of the project, urging continuous monitoring by judicial officers and the District Magistrate.

Justice Shri Partha Pratim Sahu, Chhattisgarh High Court and Portfolio Judge Janjgir Champa, congratulated the stakeholders and emphasized the positive impact of well-equipped residential colonies on the morale and efficiency of judicial employees. District and Sessions Judge Mr. Suresh Kumar Soni extended gratitude to the Chief Justice and Portfolio Judge for their support in realizing the new court buildings and residential colony in Janjgir Champa district.

Following the program, special guest Justice Shri Partha Pratim Sahu performed the Bhoomi Pujan and laid the foundation stone with traditional rituals. The event was attended by judicial officers, district administration officials, police officers, court employees, and representatives from various legal associations. Despite the logistical challenges, coordination between stakeholders ensured the successful conduct of the virtual Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stone-laying ceremony, facilitated by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited and the Public Works Department.
