TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 19, 2024: The Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Vijay Sharma, responding to a request made by police families residing in the Amlidih Police Colony, has overseen the immediate establishment of a police canteen in the area. The initiative came to fruition following a recent meeting where concerns were raised by the police families regarding the lack of such facilities in their community.
Following the directive from Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, authorities at the Police Headquarters swiftly acted upon the matter. Consequently, the Superintendent of Police, Raipur, and the Fighter 4th Corps, Chhasbal, were instructed and granted permission to set up the canteen without delay.
Today, as part of the ongoing welfare efforts for police personnel and their families, the Police Canteen was inaugurated in the Police Residential Colony, Amlidih. The inauguration ceremony was officiated by the Inspector General of Police, Raipur Area, Mr. Amresh Kumar Mishra. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Police Raipur, Shri Santosh Kumar Singh, and Fighter 4th Corps, Mana, Shri Yogesh Patel.
The opening of the police canteen has brought immense joy to the families residing in the police residential complex, with approximately 1080 families expressing their gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma for facilitating this much-needed amenity.
During the inaugural ceremony, Inspector General of Police, Raipur Range, Shri Amresh Mishra emphasized the importance of community support and solidarity among police families. He encouraged attendees to extend guidance and support to one another, especially to the children within the community. Shri Mishra highlighted the benefits of the canteen, stressing that it would offer goods at reduced prices compared to the market, thereby enabling families to utilize the saved funds for their welfare.
The establishment of the police canteen signifies a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life for police families in the Amlidih Police Residential Colony, underscoring the government’s commitment to their well-being and satisfaction.
