TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 22, 2024: Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the commencement of the Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme has been initiated, signaling a new era of pilgrimage facilitation in Chhattisgarh. The Tourism Department has issued comprehensive guidelines to district collectors outlining the meticulous arrangements for the revered Shri Ramlala Darshan (Ayodhya Dham) Yatra. With preparations underway for the inaugural special train, collectors are urged to promptly select eligible passengers and compile the requisite lists for expeditious processing.
Guidelines for Application:
Prospective travelers under the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana are required to submit applications in the prescribed format at their respective Gram Panchayats or urban bodies. Alongside the application form, individuals must furnish a recent color photograph and valid proof of identity and residence, such as a ration card, driving license, or Aadhaar card. Additionally, applicants must nominate two emergency contacts, one of whom must provide a mobile number for communication purposes. Gram Panchayats and urban bodies are tasked with collating and forwarding the list of interested applicants to the Collector’s office for further evaluation.
Eligibility Criteria and Accompanying Assistants:
Participants aged 65 years and above may opt to be accompanied by an assistant during the journey. Groups comprising three to five individuals are entitled to one helper per group, provided all members are 65 years or older. However, couples traveling together are ineligible for accompanying assistants unless one spouse falls below the age threshold.
Selection Process for Groups and Individuals:
Applications submitted collectively by groups of up to 10 individuals will be treated as a single entity for selection purposes. The group leader will assume responsibility for coordinating the application process, including the inclusion of any assistants. In the event of oversubscription, beneficiaries will be chosen via a lottery system, with a waitlist comprising 25 percent of the total quota to accommodate any vacancies.
Facilitation and Precautionary Measures:
Selected passengers will be transported from their respective districts to designated departure points, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Medical screenings will be conducted prior to departure, with alternate candidates from the waitlist replacing any individuals deemed unfit for travel. Passengers are advised to carry essential medications and adhere to safety guidelines throughout the journey, with district authorities overseeing the entire process from commencement to conclusion.
Empowering Pilgrims with Assurance and Assistance:
The Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme embodies the government’s commitment to facilitating pilgrimage experiences while prioritizing passenger safety and convenience. By adhering to prescribed guidelines and leveraging digital tools for efficient processing, Chhattisgarh aims to empower pilgrims with seamless access to spiritual landmarks and cherished cultural experiences.
