PM Modi to Unveil Development Projects Worth Rs 34,427 Crore in Chhattisgarh

”Developed India, Developed Chhattisgarh” Initiative

TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 23, 2024: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 10 projects totaling Rs 34,427 crore in Chhattisgarh as part of the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

Under this initiative, Prime Minister Modi will virtually join the main event scheduled for February 24 at 12 noon at the Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur, with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai hosting the event. The program will also be graced by Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Brijmohan Agarwal and MP Shri Sunil Soni.

During the event, the Prime Minister will virtually interact with beneficiaries of various schemes and preside over the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremony. Representatives from 30 districts across the state will be in attendance.

Inauguration Highlights:

– Open-cast projects aimed at reducing loading time and greenhouse gas emissions.
– Inauguration of a 100 MW AC/155 MW DC solar power project in Rajnandgaon district.
– Two road projects totaling 108.05 km to enhance connectivity and socio-economic development.
– Inauguration of Lara Supercritical Thermal Power Plant Stage-1 (2x800MW) in Raigarh district.
– Launch of two railway projects including a 50 MW solar power plant in Bhilai and the Bilaspur-Uslapur flyover.

Foundation Stone Laying:

Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for Lara Supercritical Thermal Power Plant Stage-2 (2x800MW) in Raigarh district, aimed at boosting employment opportunities and infrastructure development in the region.

These projects signify the government’s commitment to fostering development, enhancing connectivity, and promoting renewable energy initiatives in Chhattisgarh.
