TFP Raipur, February 24, 2024: Purime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took part virtually in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme held in Raipur, inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 34,427 crore in Chhattisgarh. These projects, comprising the inauguration of nine ventures amounting to Rs 18,897 crore and the foundation laying for one project valued at Rs 15,530 crore, mark a significant step towards the state’s progress.
In his address, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi emphasized Chhattisgarh’s pivotal role in the nation’s development journey, asserting that the vision of a developed India can only be realized through the advancement of a developed Chhattisgarh. Highlighting the state’s abundant natural resources and hardworking populace, he underscored the importance of harnessing these assets for holistic development. The projects inaugurated, spanning coal, solar energy, and connectivity sectors, are poised to generate employment opportunities for Chhattisgarh’s youth.
“Notably, the dedication of NTPC’s 1600 MW Super Thermal Power Station, along with the foundation laying for Stage 2 of this modern facility, underscores our commitment to providing affordable electricity to all. Furthermore, we aim to position Chhattisgarh as a hub for solar energy,” he affirmed.
Commending the Chhattisgarh government’s efforts in fulfilling its promises, Prime Minister Modi cited
the disbursal of pending bonuses to farmers, increase in tendupatta collectors’ remuneration, and accelerated progress in housing schemes as significant achievements. He reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the fulfillment of every pledge made to the citizens.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, in his address, provided insights into the state government’s accomplishments, reaffirming its dedication to realizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India. He highlighted various initiatives undertaken to enhance governance and promote citizen welfare, underscoring the successful implementation of housing schemes, financial aid programmes for women, and healthcare initiatives.
“With today’s inauguration and foundation stone laying for projects worth Rs 34,427 crore, we are bolstering our efforts towards Chhattisgarh’s development, thereby contributing to the nation’s progress,” Chief Minister Sai remarked.
The programme also witnessed the distribution of funds to beneficiaries, with contributions from School Education Minister Shri Brijmohan Agrawal and Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam. Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain and Principal Secretary Smt. Niharika Barik, were also in attendance, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
