TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 27,2024: In a decisive move, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao has taken a firm stance against subpar construction standards, resulting in the suspension of two Public Works Department officers and the issuance of show cause notices to two others.
The action follows concerns raised by Department Minister Shri Arun Sao regarding the quality of workmanship observed during the upgrade and renovation of the Chotiya-Chirmiri road. In response, stringent measures have been implemented to address instances of low-quality construction and deviations from prescribed standards.
Orders for the suspension of a sub-divisional officer and a sub-engineer have been issued by the ministry, underscoring the seriousness with which such infractions are being treated. Additionally, show cause notices have been served to the Executive Engineer and another Sub-Divisional Officer, signaling a thorough review of their roles in ensuring adherence to construction guidelines.
