Chief Secretary Chairs Review Meeting on State Government Schemes

Instructions Given for Implementation of Manifesto Goals and Niyad Nellanar Scheme

TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 1, 2024: Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain presided over a comprehensive review meeting today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, focusing on the implementation of key state government schemes and initiatives. The meeting also included directives regarding works to be completed within the first 100 days, aligning with the government’s manifesto commitments.

Under the ambit of the Niyad Nellanar Scheme, designed to ensure planned development in Kanker, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur, and Sukma districts of Bastar division, Chief Secretary Shri Jain emphasized the need for systematic execution of welfare schemes as per prescribed guidelines. The meeting saw discussions on identifying flagship capital projects for future implementation across government departments.

Departments provided updates on their progress toward fulfilling manifesto goals within the first 100 days, with a particular focus on the Niyad Nellanar Scheme. Officials were directed to formulate structured programs to benefit residents of the specified districts by providing essential amenities such as school buildings, healthcare facilities, roads, fair price shops, and transportation services. Additionally, provisions for drinking water, housing under Prime Minister’s Housing scheme, electricity subsidies, solar pumps, and other basic necessities were outlined for these areas.

The meeting also delved into the review of various schemes under the Electronics and Information Technology Department, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of ongoing initiatives across sectors.

In attendance were Additional Chief Secretaries including Smt. Renu Pillai from Public Health and Family Welfare, and Shri Manoj Pingua from Home Jail and Forest departments. Principal Secretaries and Secretaries from key departments like Panchayat and Rural Development, Information and Technology, Public Works, General Administration, Tourism and Culture, Finance, Women and Child Development, Transport, Revenue, and Skill Development, among others, participated in the deliberations.

The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to efficient governance and the timely implementation of welfare measures, reflecting a concerted effort to fulfill the promises outlined in its manifesto and ensure holistic development across the state.
