TFP Bureau, New Delhi; March 8, 2024: In a significant move gearing up for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, the Congress party, under the leadership of President Shri Mallikarjuna Kharge, has revealed its list of candidates for 39 constituencies of Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Lakshadweep, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim including Chhattisgarh State. The announcement came during the ‘Central Election Committee’ meeting held in New Delhi.
Chhattisgarh Dominates Initial Selections
Out of the 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in Chhattisgarh, the Congress has declared contenders for six seats. Notable inclusions are former Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel and MLA from Patan assembly seat, who has been nominated for the Rajnandgaon constituency. Additionally, Vikas Upadhyay, Ex-MLA from Raipur West, is set to contest from the Raipur seat.
The list of selected six candidates from Chhattisgarh includes:
1. Jangir-Champa (SC): Dr. Shivkumar Dahariya
2. Korba: Ms. Jyotsana Mahant
3. Rajnandgaon: Bhupesh Baghel
4. Raipur: Vikas Upadhyay
5. Durg: Rajendra Sahu
6. Mahasamund: Tamradhwaj Sahu
