TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 8, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, amidst the celebration of International Women’s Day, expressed his reverence for the indomitable spirit of women in Bastar. Addressing a gathering at the Jawanga Education City auditorium in Dantewada district, he commended the unwavering resolve of Bastar’s women despite challenging circumstances. Chief Minister Sai lauded the contributions of women serving in various capacities, including the Bastar Fighters, Danteshwari Fighters, CRPF, and other security forces, acknowledging their pivotal role in safeguarding society and the nation.
Listening attentively to the tales of courage and valor from women police constables, Chief Minister Sai underscored the formidable challenges encountered in serving in the Bastar region. He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of women officers who bravely navigate the dense forests, rivers, and caves, emphasizing their commendable commitment to duty.
Reflecting on the cultural heritage of Bastar, Chief Minister Sai invoked the blessings of Goddess Danteshwari Mata, highlighting the region’s rich tradition of venerating feminine strength. He emphasized the historical reverence for women in Indian society, citing ancient scriptures that extol the significance of women’s empowerment. Furthermore, he noted contemporary examples, including the esteemed position held by Smt Droupadi Murmu as the President of the country.
In line with the government’s commitment to development, Chief Minister Sai announced several initiatives aimed at fostering sports and cultural activities across the Bastar Division. These include the establishment of ‘Maa Danteshwari Shakti Centers’ in all district headquarters, alongside infrastructure enhancements such as Shaheed Smarak, Amar Vatika, and sports facilities. Additionally, provisions were made for girls’ hostels, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions, reflecting the government’s comprehensive approach to holistic development.
As a gesture of solidarity, Chief Minister Sai shared a meal with female police personnel deployed in various security forces, symbolizing camaraderie and support for their relentless service. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dantewada MLA Shri Chaitram Atami and Chitrakote MLA Shri Vinayak Goyal, underscoring the collective commitment to women’s empowerment and regional progress.
