Rajim Kumbh Kalpa 2024 Concludes with Spiritual Grandeur: Governor Performs Maha Aarti at Mahanadi

TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 9, 2024:  Rajim Kumbh Kalp-2024, which commenced on February 24 at the Triveni Sangam in Rajim, culminated Friday, March 8, with a magnificent closing ceremony attended by Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan as the chief guest. The proceedings were presided over by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. Throughout the Rajim Kumbh, the picturesque charm of Ayodhya Dham adorned the Sangam city, celebrating this year’s event as Ramotsav. Sadhus, saints, and Mahamandaleshwars from across the nation graced the sacred Kumbh, infusing it with profound spiritual fervor.

During the closing ceremony, Governor Harichandan expressed his spiritual elation at participating in the Kumbh Mela in the holy city of Rajim. He extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the saints, scholars, and religious leaders who congregated at the Rajim fair, underscoring the significance of their presence. Hailing Rajim as a major pilgrimage site revered as the Prayagraj of Chhattisgarh, Governor Harichandan applauded the Kumbh’s distinctiveness, attributing its acclaim to the convergence of artists, devotees’ unwavering faith, and the blessings of saints.

Simultaneously, Governor Harichandan graced the Mahanadi Aarti, a reverent ritual conducted at the Triveni Sangam, as part of the closing festivities. Joined by eleven Pandits and dignitaries including MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, Purandar Mishra, and Sadhvi Pragya Bharti, Governor Harichandan led the sacred ceremony, accentuating the spiritual essence of the Kumbh.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma conveyed his appreciation for the resounding success of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa 2024, emphasizing its significance on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri and International Women’s Day. Minister Shri Brijmohan Aggarwal echoed similar sentiments, acknowledging the collaborative efforts that facilitated the grandeur of the Kumbh and its profound impact on devotees and participants alike.

The Rajim Kumbh Kalpa, organized by the Tourism, Culture, and Endowments Department of the Chhattisgarh Government, witnessed the convergence of over 20 lakh devotees, establishing it as a pivotal cultural and religious event in Central India. With its rich heritage and spiritual resonance, Rajim continues to occupy a revered position, echoing the eternal essence of devotion and reverence.
