TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 10, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Chhattisgarh today, symbolizing a significant step towards women empowerment. Connecting virtually from the sacred city of Kashi, Prime Minister Modi transferred the inaugural installment of Rs 1000 each to the accounts of 70,12,417 women beneficiaries across the state. This amounts to a total disbursement of Rs 655 crore 57 lakh, fulfilling the promise of monthly financial assistance to the women of Chhattisgarh.

“I can’t congratulate Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and his team enough for the speedy implementation of this scheme,”
stated Prime Minister Modi during the virtual launch event.

Aim for Three Crore Lakhpati Didis
Prime Minister Modi outlined the government’s ambitious plan to uplift women economically, aiming to create three crore ‘Lakhpati Didis’ across the country. He also announced the NaMo Drone Didi scheme, which aims to provide drones to women and offer training for drone pilots, facilitating agricultural development.
