PM Modi Virtually Inaugurates Railway Projects Worth Over Rs 85,000 Crore

Governor and Chief Minister Attend Inauguration Ceremony at Raipur Railway Station

TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 12, 2024: The inauguration ceremony of railway projects witnessed the presence of Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at Raipur Railway Station today. Addressing the event, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai highlighted the significant strides made by Indian Railways in modernization and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Expressing pride in the passenger facilities and services provided by Indian Railways, Chief Minister Sai underscored the Prime Minister’s commitment to enhancing railway infrastructure across the country. Today, Prime Minister Modi is inaugurating, performing bhoomi pujan, and laying the foundation stone for 6,000 projects amounting to Rs 85,000 crore nationwide.

Highlighting the Central Government’s contributions to Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Sai noted that the state has received substantial allocations for railway projects. Currently, railway-related projects worth Rs 36,968 crore are underway in Chhattisgarh, with an allocation of Rs 6,896 crore in the 2024-25 budget.

Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan emphasized the critical role of railways in India’s development, stating that railway modernization under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership is propelling the nation’s economic progress. He praised the rapid pace of development in various railway projects across the country.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, joining the program via video conference from Ahmedabad, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several railway projects. These include the launch of 34 One Station One Product stalls, a rail coach restaurant in Bilaspur, the upgrade of Durg Coaching Depot Pete Line, a Janaushadhi Center in Janjgir, Naila, Pendra Road, a Vande Bharat Maintenance Depot in Bilaspur, the expansion of Bhilai MEMU shed, and the foundation stone laying of a pit line in Ambikapur.
