TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 18, 2024 – The Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee has accused Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal’s recent statement, suggesting that it is unnecessary to shut down the Mahadev App, of exposing a collusion between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the controversial application. Sushil Anand Shukla, President of the State Congress Communication Department, asserted that Aggarwal’s remarks confirm suspicions of a nexus between the BJP and the Mahadev App.
According to Shukla, Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal’s statement implies that the FIR filed by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) against Bhupesh Baghel was motivated by Baghel’s actions against the Mahadev Satta App across the state. Baghel had reportedly advocated for the app’s closure, prompting discomfort within the BJP ranks. Shukla emphasized that Aggarwal’s admission that action should be taken against wrongdoers within the app serves as evidence supporting Congress’s allegations of BJP and Central Government patronage of the Mahadev Satta App.
Shukla further claimed that the Mahadev Satta App continues to operate under the protection of the central government, with BJP holding power both in the state and at the center. He questioned the delay in shutting down the app and the absence of arrests for individuals such as Ravi Uppal, Saurabh Chandrakar, and Shubham Soni. Shukla raised suspicions regarding the origin of a video featuring Shubham Soni, released by the BJP through its official channels, and alleged a concerted effort between the BJP, the EOW, and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to discredit Bhupesh Baghel and the Congress Party.
