TFP Bureau, Raipur, March 20, 2024: The electoral machinery for the Lok Sabha general elections sprung into action today as the notification for the inaugural phase of polls in Chhattisgarh was officially released. Scheduled for April 19, the first phase of voting will center on the Bastar Lok Sabha constituency.
As the notification hit the desks, marking the commencement of the nomination process in Bastar, anticipation ran high. However, the day passed without a single candidate stepping forward to throw their hat into the electoral ring.
The window for nominations remains open until March 27, providing aspiring candidates ample opportunity to stake their claim. Office hours, from 11 am to 3 pm on working days, excluding government holidays, have been designated for the filing process. Scrutiny of received nomination papers is slated for March 28, followed by the withdrawal window closing on March 30.
With the political landscape primed for the contest, all eyes now turn to see who will eventually emerge as contenders in the electoral battleground of Bastar.
