Congress Unveils Five Justice Guarantees for Lok Sabha Elections

New Campaign Offers Hope Amidst Nationwide Challenges

TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 20, 2024: In a bid to rejuvenate public confidence ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress Party has introduced a comprehensive set of five justice guarantees aimed at empowering various segments of society. Led by Sushil Anand Shukla, President of the State Congress Communication Department, the campaign pledges to provide legal protections to marginalized groups, including women, youth, farmers, and laborers, thereby steering them towards the path of inclusive development.

Women’s Justice Assured

Under the initiative, dubbed “Farmer Justice, Farmer Justice,” Congress pledges to prioritize the welfare of women by implementing the Mahalaxmi Yojana, ensuring each woman receives Rs 1 lakh annually, a significant increase from the current allotment. Additionally, the party vows to enhance female representation in central jobs, double assistance to frontline workers, and appoint legal aides in every Panchayat to safeguard women’s rights. Furthermore, plans are underway to construct hostels for working women across all district headquarters nationwide.

Farmer Welfare in Focus

In a bid to uplift the agricultural community, Congress promises a slew of measures including legalizing Minimum Support Price (MSP), establishing a permanent Agricultural Loan Waiver Commission, redesigning crop insurance schemes for prompt compensation, formulating farmer-centric import-export policies, and exempting farmers from GST.

Youth Empowerment Initiative

For the youth, Congress plans to generate 30 lakh new jobs annually in the central government, provide financial security through apprenticeships, eradicate paper leaks in examinations, enhance working conditions in the gig economy, and allocate a Rs 5000 crore start-up fund.

Ensuring Labor Rights

In a bid to protect labor rights, Congress pledges to provide free healthcare services, establish a national minimum wage, enact an Employment Guarantee Act for urban areas, offer social security to unorganized workers, and eliminate the contract system in government projects.

Advancing Participatory Justice

Furthermore, the campaign aims to address systemic injustices by conducting a comprehensive census, removing reservation limits for marginalized communities, ensuring proportional budget allocations for Scheduled Castes and Tribes, resolving land and forest rights disputes, and granting autonomy to Scheduled Areas where appropriate.

State Congress Communication Department Chairman Sushil Anand Shukla expressed optimism, stating that amidst prevailing challenges of inflation and unemployment, these guarantees offer a beacon of hope for the nation. He urged the public to embrace these promises as a means to unlock new avenues of development and prosperity, thereby liberating themselves from the shackles of misrule.
