Registration Open for National Financial Literacy Assessment Examination until May 27

TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 23, 2024: The National Financial Literacy Assessment Examination (NFLAT) aimed at enhancing the financial literacy of students from Class 6 to 12 is open for registration until May 27, 2024. The examination, scheduled to run until May 31, aims to equip students with essential financial literacy skills. The Directorate of Public Education has directed all District Education Officers to facilitate student registration in all state schools for the National Financial Literacy Assessment Examination.

The examination will be conducted in school computer labs, and instructions have been issued for professors to oversee the examination process. Interested students are advised to contact their respective schools to register for the exam. Registration is currently available for schools intending to conduct online tests on their campus computers. Schools are required to register themselves for the examination, following link https://ncfe.org.in/NFLAT which they will receive a unique user ID and password. Subsequently, schools must upload student details for examination participation using the provided credentials.

Participation in the examination will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with online tests available on weekdays from 10 am to 5 pm, excluding holidays. Schools equipped with computer labs and internet connectivity can conduct exams on their premises. Additionally, students may participate from home if they have access to a PC or laptop.

The National Financial Literacy Assessment Examination, conducted by the National Financial Education Center, is based on OECD recommendations and aims to empower students to make informed financial decisions throughout their lives. It is one of the world’s largest free annual financial literacy tests for school students.

The examination will be conducted in three categories: junior, for students in grades 6 to 8; and senior, for students in grades 9 to 10, and 11 to 12, respectively. Students will be recognized for their performance with an e-proof card, while those scoring above 85 percent will receive excellence certificates. Winners at national and regional levels will be awarded e-gift cards.
