TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 28, 2024: In a bid to facilitate seamless real estate transactions, all registration offices across the state will remain operational during the upcoming government holiday from March 29 to 31. This decision comes as a relief for individuals involved in property transactions, as they won’t face any inconvenience amidst the holiday season.
The implementation of Computerized National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) has streamlined registration processes, ensuring efficiency and convenience for parties involved. E-stamp counters will also be functional during the holidays, further enhancing accessibility for stamp procurement necessary for registration purposes.
Acknowledging the surge in document registrations during the month of March, authorities have extended their working hours from 10 am to 7 pm, including weekends, since March 16. This extension aims to accommodate the increased demand, with documents being presented for registration two to three times more frequently compared to regular days. Additionally, appointments will be accepted until 7 pm during this period, whereas on regular days, the last appointment is scheduled for 5 pm.
The decision to operate registration offices during holidays not only ensures convenience for individuals but also anticipates a boost in revenue generation for the state. By prioritizing the needs of parties involved in real estate transactions, authorities aim to foster a conducive environment for registration activities throughout the financial year.
