TFP Bureau, Raipur; April 1, 2024: In a bid to streamline their electoral strategy, the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee, led by State President Deepak Baij and co-in-charge Vijay Jangid, held two pivotal meetings at the State Congress Headquarters Rajiv Bhawan. The first gathering convened state spokespersons, while the second brought together district in-charge officials.
Addressing the spokespersons, State President Deepak Baij emphasized the party’s focus on two critical issues for the upcoming elections: the perceived failures of the Modi government over the past decade, and Congress’s pledges of justice and progress for all citizens. Baij underscored Congress’s commitments, including an annual Rs 1 lakh payment to women under Nari Nyay, guaranteed MSP for farmers, and doubling MNREGA worker wages to Rs 400. Additionally, Congress vowed to create 30 lakh jobs for youth and allocate Rs 5000 crore to each district for self-employment initiatives.
Co-in-charge Vijay Jangid urged spokespersons to vigorously convey the Modi government’s shortcomings, highlighting issues such as inflation, unemployment, and agricultural distress. Despite anticipated diversions from the BJP, Jangid stressed the importance of staying focused on public concerns.
Meanwhile, at the district in-charge officials’ meeting, the focus was on reviewing election campaign activities and organizational efforts across all districts. Attendees received directives to intensify candidate campaigns and diligently oversee booth committees under their purview.
Notable figures present included General Secretary in-charge Malkit Singh Gaidoo, State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla, and Senior Spokesperson Surendra Sharma, among others. With the groundwork laid and priorities set, the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee gears up for a dynamic electoral campaign ahead.
