International Gathering Emphasizes Research and Education in Homoeopathy

TFP Bureau, New Delhi, April 12, 2024 – The Homoeopathy Symposium, aimed at fostering global collaboration to enhance the efficacy and acceptance of Homoeopathy worldwide, came to a close on Thursday in New Delhi. The two-day event witnessed the participation of esteemed dignitaries, including the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, and seven Padma awardees in the field of homeopathy and Ayush.

With over 6,000 attendees, including doctors, scientists, researchers, academicians, students, and faculty, the symposium provided a platform for meaningful interactions and discussions on advancing the field of homoeopathy. Under the theme “Empowering Research, Enhancing Proficiency,” the event focused on homoeopathic research, clinical practice, and market insights.

Dr. Anil Khurana, Chairperson of the National Commission for Homoeopathy, emphasized the significance of celebrating World Homoeopathy Day in India as an opportunity to share clinical experiences and discuss policy issues for the growth of Homoeopathy. He highlighted India’s role as a global leader in this system of medicine, thanks to government patronage and infrastructure development.

Throughout the symposium, renowned homoeopathic practitioners showcased their experiences in managing challenging cases, including successful treatments in animal cases. Researchers and scientists presented key findings from their research activities, leading to panel discussions on translational research, education sector reforms, global perspectives, quality assurance, and interdisciplinary research.

International experts shared their insights, motivating attendees with clinical research findings and success stories. The valedictory session saw dignitaries expressing solidarity within the homoeopathic fraternity and outlining key actions required for further advancement. Dr. Raj K. Manchanda, Chairperson of the Homoeopathic Sectional Committee, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) & Former DG, CCRH, commended the symposium for addressing regulatory insights, standards, exports, and government support, emphasizing the importance of quality assurance and innovation in Homoeopathy.

The successful conclusion of the symposium highlighted the ongoing efforts to promote Homoeopathy as an integral part of healthcare. It reinforced the importance of continuous research, quality education, and global collaboration to enhance the efficacy and acceptance of Homoeopathy worldwide.
